Redmi K70 Ultra tipped to arrive with 1.5K OLED display, killer price
In November 2023, Redmi unveiled the Redmi K70 series of smartphones in China. The brand is now reportedly working on a new K70-series flagship called the Redmi K70 Ultra. While the K70 and K70 Pro are equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets, respectively, the Ultra model is said to feature a Dimensity chip. In a new leak, tipster Wisdom Pikachu from China has shared key details about the device.
Recently, tipster Digital Chat Station leaked the key specifications of the Redmi K70 Ultra. However, the leak did not clearly state its screen resolution. The new leak reveals that it will have a flat OLED panel that supports a 1.5K resolution. To recall, the Redmi K60 Ultra’s 6.67-inch OLED panel also supports a 1.5K resolution.
The leak further states that the K70 Ultra will feature the Dimensity 9300 chipset and have an independent chip, probably for enhanced graphics performance. He also said that the device will have a right-angled metal middle frame, waterproofing for enhanced durability, superior quality, and an attractive price point.
While nothing else is known about the Redmi K70 Ultra, it is expected to impress in other departments, such as photography and charging capabilities. The new leak suggests that the device will launch in June in China. As far as the global launch is concerned, a tweaked version of the device may launch as the Xiaomi 14 Pro in markets outside of China.
