Redmi K70 Ultra tipped to feature Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset
MediaTek is expected to announce the Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset either this month or in May. It will be an overclocked version of the Dimensity 9300, which debuted last year in November 2023. Expected to debut in May in China, the Vivo X100s and X100s Pro could be the first phones to feature it. A new development suggests that the Redmi K70 Ultra will also have it.
There have been conflicting reports about whether the K70 Ultra will have the D9300 or D9300+ chip. However, a reliable leaker from China asserts that the device features the Plus variant of the chipset.
Since the Redmi K70 Ultra is a performance-focused flagship, it will have a conventional set of cameras. A recent report revealed that it will have a 50-megapixel primary camera. An ultra-wide lens and a macro camera could join it.
On the display front, the K70 Ultra is likely to feature an OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution. It will be powered by a dedicated graphics chip, improving the visual and gaming experience. It is also said to have support for 120W fast charging, a metal middle frame, and a glass back. Other reports have said that it will have up to 24 GB of RAM, up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage, and a 5,500mAh battery.
It is likely that the Xiaomi 14T Pro heading for the global market will be similar to the K70 Ultra. However, rumors suggest that it will come with extra features like Leica co-branding, a telephoto camera, and wireless charging support. The K70 Ultra will remain exclusive to the Chinese market.
