Redmi K70e hands-on video appears, full specifications revealed
Yesterday, MediaTek held an event in China to announce the Dimensity 8300. It was also confirmed at the event that the Redmi K70e will be the first phone to feature the Dimensity 8300-Ultra, which appears to be a slightly customized version of the D8300 chip. While Redmi is still silent on the launch date of the Redmi K70 series, a Weibo account that goes by the name Xiaobai Evaluation Studio has published a hands-on video of the K70e. The video not only showcases the performance capabilities of the D8300-Ultra chip, but also confirms the key specifications of the K70e.

As per the source, the Redmi K70e will feature a 6.67-inch OLED display that offers a 1.5K resolution of 1220 x 2712 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1200 nits, and 12-bit colours. The device will run on Android 14, which has a layer of HyperOS on top. For security, it will have an under-display fingerprint scanner.
Apart from the Dimensity 8300-Ultra chip, the device will be equipped with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It will be backed by a 5,500mAh battery that supports 90W fast charging.
On the photography front, the K70e will have a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, and its rear panel will have a 64-megapixel main camera with OIS support, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. It is said to have a plastic frame and a glass back. In terms of dimensions, the K70e has a thickness of 8.05mm and weighs 198 grams. It will be available in two shades: Clear Snow and Shadow Green.
