Samsung Galaxy A55 5G Bluetooth SIG certified, launch imminent

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy A55 5G has been gradually gaining approval from different certification platforms. The most recent development reveals that the Bluetooth SIG authority has certified the A55. Here is a look at the details that have emerged through the Bluetooth certification.

As can be seen in the above image, the Galaxy A55 5G variants bearing model numbers SM-A556B_DS, SM-A556E_DS, and SM-A556E have received approval from the Bluetooth SIG listing. Except for revealing support for Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, the listing has no information on its other specifications.

As per previous reports, the Galaxy A55 5G has a 6.5-inch OLED panel that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to run on One UI 6.1-based Android 14 and is likely to get a longer software update.

Under the hood, the Galaxy A55 5G may feature the Exynos 1480 chipset and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. The device is likely to ship with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.

It is likely to feature the same set of cameras that were available with the Galaxy A54 last year. Hence, it is expected to feature a 32-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel (main) + 12-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 5-megapixel (macro) triple camera setup. The device will come in shades such as Awesome Ice Blue, Awesome Lilac, and Awesome Navy Blue.
