Samsung Galaxy A55, Y55 images appear via MIIT certification, launch imminent
Samsung Galaxy A55 is likely to launch soon in China, and it appears that another device that is tentatively named the Galaxy Y55 may also launch soon in the country. The reason behind this is that both devices have emerged in the database of China’s MIIT certification platform. The listings have revealed the images of both smartphones.
The Galaxy A55 and Galaxy Y55 have appeared with model numbers SM-A5560 and SM-C5560 in MIIT’s database, respectively. The Y55 was spotted with all the major specs at the TENAA certification last month, but it is only now that its design has been revealed. Coming to the A55, it was spotted at MIIT yesterday, but its listing has been updated with its images today.
The images show that both devices have an identical design, featuring a punch-hole display on the front and a triple camera setup with LED flash on the back.
As per reports, the Galaxy A55 will have a 6.5-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display, an Exynos 1480 chipset, 8 GB of RAM, up to 256 GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. On the front, it will have a 32-megapixel selfie camera, and its rear may feature a 50-megapixel (main) + 12-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 5-megapixel (macro) triple camera setup.
On the other hand, the TENAA certification of the Galaxy Y55 will have a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ display, an unknown 2GHz chipset, 8 GB / 12 GB of RAM, 128 GB / 256 GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.
