Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Smartphone Spotted Again on the Geekbench Database with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1
Samsung will be launching its FE or Fan Edition smartphone of the S23 series this year and the device will be arriving as the next Galaxy S series FE smartphone after the Galaxy S21 FE which was launched globally more than a year back.
A previous report had mentioned of a Galaxy S23 FE smartphone with the model number, SM-S711B that made its appearance on the Geekbench database featuring the Exynos 2200 chipset. Now a new model of the smartphone with a different model number has been spotted on the Geekbench database, pointing to a new chipset that will power the device.
Galaxy S23 FE Spotted Again on the Geekbench Database
This new variant of the Galaxy S23 FE smartphone has appeared on the Geekbench database with model number SM-S711U1 and has scored a single-core score of 1549 points and a multi-core score of 3718 points. The database also reveals that the device would have a motherboard codenamed “Taro” along with its chipset configurations, confirming that the device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. To note, this same chipset powered the previous Galaxy S22 series smartphones.
Now speaking more about what has been revealed from the database, the Geekbench listing further also confirms that the device would be running on the Android 13-based operating system. The upcoming device will also be integrated with the Adreno 730 GPU as well.
Coming to the architecture of the chipset, it has a core configuration with 4+3+1 cores and its primary core is clocked at 3.00 GHz. The 3 performance cores have a clock speed of 2.50 GHz and its 4 efficiency cores or base cores are clocked at 1.79GHz.
If you would have noticed, by now the Galaxy S23 FE smartphone has been spotted on the Geekbench database with two chipsets – the Exynos 2200 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. This might be indicating that two variants of the smartphone will be introduced in different regions, as was the case with previous Galaxy S series devices. There is also one more thing to be noticed, both the chipsets that are now said to power the upcoming Galaxy S23 FE smartphone previously powered the Galaxy S22 series smartphones. There could be a chance for a rebranded smartphone but it is not sure.
Regarding the other updates about the upcoming smartphone, the 5K render images of the Galaxy S23 FE have been revealed pointing out that, design-wise the smartphone will look similar to the already launched Galaxy S23 and S23+ devices. A smartphone(SM-S7110) that is likely to be the Galaxy S23 FE was also certified by the 3C certification authority. The Galaxy S23 FE had also made its appearance on the IMEI database and the first test firmware of its European variant was spotted on Samsung’s firmware servers. The battery of the device was also spotted on the certification platform of SafetyKorea, confirming that it will pack a 4500 mAh battery with 25W fast charge support.
