Samsung Galaxy S24 NBTC certified ahead of expected January launch

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra was recently spotted in the database of Thailand’s NBTC certification platform. Now the standard S24 has appeared in NBTC’s database. These certifications strongly suggest that Samsung is potentially gearing up for a January launch of the S24 lineup.

As seen in the shared screenshot, the Galaxy S24 has surfaced with the model number SM-S921B/DS in the NBTC database. Notably, both the vanilla and Ultra models have been spotted in the certification records, leaving only the Plus variant yet to make an appearance. Here is a look at the rumoured specifications of the S24.

According to reports, the Galaxy S24 will have a 6.2-inch AMOLED display that offers an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Depending on the region, the S24 is expected to be available with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy (overclocked SD8G3) or the Exynos 2400.

The S24 is likely to come in storage options, such as 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB. All three variants are expected to ship with 8 GB of RAM. The S24 will run on One UI 6.1-based Android 14 and will come with support for Galaxy AI.

Under the hood, the Galaxy S24 will have a 4,000mAh battery that supports 25W wired, 15W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging. On the front, it will have a 12-megapixel selfie camera, and its rear panel will have a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

According to reports, Samsung may hold its next Galaxy Unpacked on Jan. 17 to unveil the Galaxy S24 lineup.
