Samsung Introduces its Galaxy XCover7 and Galaxy Tab Active5 Devices Globally
The South Korean consumer electronics manufacturer, Samsung, has finally unveiled its latest Galaxy XCover7 and Tab Active5 devices in the global market. The devices feature a rugged design, military-grade durability, improved performance, stable connectivity, and better productivity and security features, and are said to be made available this month itself.

Galaxy XCover7
The Galaxy XCover7 smartphone is powered by a 6nm octa-core processor and has the Android 14 operating system onboard. The device has a 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration as well, with expandable storage support of up to 1 TB.
For the display, the device has a 6.6″ large TFT display screen with an aspect ratio of 20:9, FHD+ resolution, and a 60Hz refresh rate.
Coming to the cameras, at the rear, the smartphone has a 50MP wide F1.8 camera with a flash, and for selfies, a 5MP F2.0 front-facing camera.
Regarding the battery, the device is backed with a 4050 mAh battery (user-replaceable), and a long battery life can be expected on the smartphone. The device also has type-C USB 2.0 and POGO PIN (for charging only)
Other features include 5G network connectivity, dual SIM (SIM + Embedded SIM), Wi-Fi 5(802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) with Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, 3.5 mm audio jack, various sensors(accelerometer, geomagnetic, gyro, light, & proximity) and location positioning services(GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, & QZSS), Dolby Atmos, Samsung Knox with Samsung Knox Vault, face recognition, and a customizable XCover key.
The device also measures 169.0 x 80.1 x 10.2 mm and weighs 240 gm. It is also IP68-rated with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection.
Galaxy Tab Active5
The Galaxy Tab Active5 has arrived equipped with a 5nm octa-core chipset and has the Android 14 operating system itself pre-installed in it. Two storage variants are available for the device with storage options of 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB (along with expandable storage of up to 1TB).
It features an 8″ TFT display panel with an aspect ratio of 16:10, WUXGA resolution, and up to 120Hz refresh rate support.
There is a 13MP (wide F1.9) primary shooter at the rear with a flash, and a 5MP F2.2 front camera for selfies.
The tablet also packs a 5050 mAh user-replaceable battery. It also has a type-C USB 2.0 port and POGO PIN.
Speaking of some of the other features, the device comes with 5G network connectivity, dual SIM (SIM + embedded SIM), Wi-Fi 6(802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax) with Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, multiple sensors(accelerometer, fingerprint, geomagnetic, gyro, light, proximity, and hall sensors) and location positioning services(GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS), Dolby Atmos, S-Pen, Samsung Knox with Samsung Knox Vault, face recognition, fingerprint reader, and a customizable Active Key.
Dimension-wise, it measures 126.8 x 213.8 x 10.1 mm in size and has a total weight of 433 gm. The device is also IP68-rated with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Availability
Samsung has revealed that both its Galaxy XCover7 and Galaxy Tab Active5 ruggedized devices will be made available this month in different global markets.
