Samsung S24 Ultra screen size and aspect ratio tipped but wide bezels make it hard to digest

Samsung is reportedly working on the S24 series which it can launch next year. Despite such a long wait for this phone, the rumor mill has begun churning out significant information about this series of phones. Recently we saw a tipster revealing that Galaxy S24 Ultra will be lighter than its predecessor. This phone is also tipped to come with a 50 MP 3x telephoto camera and a titanium body.

This information is easy to digest but one that has recently been tipped by a tipster is making it hard to gulp. A tipster named Ice Universe mentioned the dimensions of the S24 Ultra in a tweet “162.3mm × 79mm × 8.6mm”. According to this tweet, S24 Ultra will be shorter by 162.3mm than its predecessor S23 Ultra which comes with 163.4mm.

Now coming on to the width tipster mentioned that it will have 8.6mm which is thinner than the S23 Ultra which came with the 8.9mm. As far as its width is concerned, the tipster mentioned it will have 79mm, up from 78.1mm.

So if it were to be summarised S24 Ultra can be shorter, and thinner but wider in width. The same tipster came with additional information about this phone in another tweet in which he mentioned the screen size of the phone. He mentioned that S24 Ultra will come with a 6.8” display that sports 3120 ×1440 resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

Now this may not sound weird initially but when the tipster processed this data to make an image of how the screen will look with the aforementioned screen size, aspect ratio, and dimensions it came out to be a display with significant bezels.

Now when brands are looking ahead to make smartphones with minimum bezels, how can Samsung afford to launch its top flagship phone with such wide bezels? Tipster mentioned about the image “I think there is a problem with the data, and there is a high probability that there will be errors in the screen data”.

So there is a high chance that these data are not to be believed for now. We will keep you updated if any update arrives around this phone till then stay tuned with The Tech Outlook.
