Samsung W24, W24 Flip 3C certified, fast charging capabilities revealed
The Samsung W24 series is likely to debut soon in the Chinese market. The reason behind it is that two new W-series Samsung phones have been spotted in the database of China’s 3C certification site. The listings suggest that these could be the upcoming Samsung W24 and the W24 Flip, which will be exclusively available in China.
The 3C authority in China has approved two new Samsung phones with model numbers SM-W9024 and SM-W7024. The listing reveals that Samsung will offer an EP-TA800 charger with support for 11V / 2.25A charging for both devices. In other words, both models are expected to support 25W charging.
Last year, in early July, two Samsung devices with model numbers SM-W9023 and SM-W7023 were approved by the 3C regulatory body. These devices will debut on the market in October 2022 as the W23 and the W23 Flip. Samsung partnered with China Telecom to release these devices as rebranded versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4.
Hence, it appears that the SM-W9024 and SM-W7024 Samsung devices may debut as the Samsung W24 and the Samsung W24 Flip in the coming months. Chinese smartphones are known for skipping the number “4” in the monikers of their devices since it is considered a bad omen. Hence, there is a possibility that these devices may arrive in the Chinese market as the Samsung W25 and the Samsung W25 Flip. These will be nothing but rebranded versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 that are expected to launch in July.
For those who don’t know, Samsung’s W-series smartphones are specifically designed to target enterprises and institutions catering to the middle and senior social elite, with the primary goal of raising funds for charitable causes.
