Samsung, the South Korean consumer electronics maker, has two A-series smartphones that are soon expected to debut and one among the upcoming devices – the Galaxy A55 5G has appeared on the SIRIM certification platform which again points to an imminent launch.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy A55 5G smartphone has received the SIRIM certification with the type approval code of “RGQL/38G/0224/S(24-0768)”. The device has been listed with the model number – “SM-A556E/DS” and has been categorized under the mobile phone section with its moniker mentioned on the database. The certification will be valid till the 21st of February 2025.
As suggested, this device has been part of multiple reports recently and previously and we have already spotted the device on other certification platforms as well, such as the MIIT, SDPPI, NBTC, GCF, Bluetooth SIG, and TUV Rheinland databases. The live images and official renders have also been shared, revealing its design aspects like the flat side panels & rear, vertically arranged individual triple camera unit, Key Island featuring the power button & volume rocker, as well as the three color choices – Awesome Lilac, Awesome Navy, and Awesome Ice Blue.

Samsung Galaxy A55 5G – Expected Specifications
The Galaxy A55 5G is said to arrive equipped with the Exynos 1480 processor and is likely to be integrated with the Xclipse 530 GPU. The device may also run on the Android 14 based One UI 6.1 custom skin, and might be offering storage variants with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
The display is expected to be an OLED screen, possibly with a screen size of 6.5″, HD+ screen resolution, and a refresh rate support of up to 120Hz.
At the rear, the device is probably going to sport a 50MP(main) + 12MP(ultrawide) + 5MP(macro) triple camera unit, and for selfies, a 32MP front camera.
A 5000 mAh decent battery backup may also be a part of the device, and it might be supporting a 25W wired fast charging feature as well.
