Samsung’s Upcoming Galaxy M55 5G Listed on the BIS Certification Platform of India
Samsung, the South Korean tech giant, unveiled its Galaxy M54 5G smartphone back in March 2023, and a year after its launch, the next Galaxy M55 5G smartphone has been reported to be in the works.
Previously, the device was spotted on the Geekbench database, and now the upcoming Galaxy smartphone has been certified by the BIS Indian certification authority.

Samsung Galaxy M55 5G – BIS Certification
The soon-to-be-released Galaxy M55 5G smartphone has made it to the BIS certification database with the model number “SM-M556B/DS”, and has been granted or given inclusion on the 12th of January 2024. Apart from its listing, no particular details about its specifications have been revealed. However, the BIS certification confirms the launch of the device in the Indian market.

As mentioned, the device was also spotted on the Geekbench database, late in November 2023, and some of its key specs were confirmed.
The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G is possibly going to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, as suggested from its Geekbench listing, and will come with the Android 14 operating system out of the box. It will also be integrated with an Adreno 644 GPU, and the processor will have a primary clock speed of 2.40 GHz. An 8GB RAM variant can also be expected for the device.
As far as its launch is concerned, it is expected to take place in a couple of weeks, likely after the Galaxy S24 series debut. When compared to the predecessor, the Galaxy M55 5G will be arriving with a lot of hardware-level improvements
