After introducing the Sony Xperia 5 IV, the company is now gearing up for the launch of its next flagship smartphone- the Sony Xperia 5 V. The smartphone has already been spotted on the 3C certification website while its promotional video has already leaked online previously. Though earlier the launch date of the device was not known but that’s the case now.
Sony has officially released a teaser video confirming that the upcoming device is set to debut on September 1st at 4 PM Japan time (7 AM UTC). The launch event will be live-streamed on the company’s YouTube channel.
Apart from this teaser video few images of the upcoming device are also revealed that give the idea at it’s design aspects.
The device will be arriving in three color variants- Black, Blue, and white. On the rear side, a pill-shaped camera module can be seen that consists of two camera sensors and an LED flash. While on the front there is a punch hole cutout for the selfie camera.
Other than this the upcoming device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC while it will run on Android 13 OS. It will consist of a 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone will arrive with 16GB RAM and support 33W fast charging.
