Sony’s next flagship device, the successor to the previous Xperia 5 IV, the Xperia 5 V, will be having its launch very soon and ahead of its confirmed launch date, the upcoming device has been spotted on the IMDA certification platform of Singapore.

Sony Xperia 5 V IMDA Certification
The upcoming Sony Xperia 5 V has been spotted on Singapore’s IMDA certification platform with the model number – XQ-DE72, Type PM-1466-BV, and has been listed as a 5G dual SIM mobile phone. The moniker of the smartphone has also been mentioned on the IMDA database.
Previously, Sony’s Xperia 5 V smartphone was also certified by China’s 3C certification authority and its promotional video was leaked. The smartphone is also now confirmed to have its launch in two days, on the 1st of September 2023.
As far as its specs are concerned, the upcoming device is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset from Qualcomm and is to have the Android 13 based operating system out of the box. It is also expected to have a 16GB RAM variant, a 3.5mm audio jack and a 33W fast charge support. The smartphone will be made available in White, Blue and Black colours.
