After being spotted on various certification websites like IMDA and China’s 3C, the Sony Xperia 5 V has officially been launched today as recently confirmed by the brand.

This newly launched smartphone features a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED HDR10 display that offers a 21:9 aspect ratio, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and is equipped with an Adreno 740 GPU. The processor is paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage while the device runs on Android 13 OS.
It is backed by a 5000mAh battery that supports 30W wired charging, It also supports 18W wireless charging. The smartphone packs up a 52MP/48MP main camera and a 12MP AF Ultrawide camera at the rear panel while on the front the device features a 12MP selfie camera. Users can do 4K 60fps recording with the front camera while with the rear camera, you can do 4K HDR 120fps recording.
Other features include WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, IP65/68 rating, 3.5mm audio jack, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 360 reality audio, game enhancer, NFC support, stereo speakers, aptX HD, and aptX adaptive.
Sony Xperia 5 V: Pricing and availability
The company has yet not revealed the actual release or sale date of this device. The device will be made available in three color variants- Black, Blue, and white. It is priced at €999.
