Tecno Camon 30 Premier 5G, the Brand’s Camera Focused Smartphone, Unveiled

Tecno, the Chinese consumer electronics maker, has unveiled its new camera focused smartphone – the Tecno Camon 30 Premier 5G. Its official release may possibly be in Q2 2024.

This newly unveiled Tecno Camon 30 Premier 5G smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultra chipset and has the latest Android 14 operating system onboard. Storage configurations with RAM of up to 12GB and internal storage of up to 512GB will be offered.

For its display, the smartphone has a display panel supporting the LTPO technology. It has a 1.5K screen resolution and supports a 1400 nits peak brightness rate as well.

Coming to the cameras, at the rear there is a 50MP triple camera unit. The main camera is a 1/1.56” IMX890 image sensor, whereas the additional cameras are 70mm periscope telephoto and ultrawide lenses. A 50MP front-facing camera for selfies is also present.

Speaking more about its camera module, it sports a Classic side-axis camera design, and camera features such as the PolarAce Imaging System based on the Sony CXD5622GG ISP chip and AI Imaging are also supported.

Regarding the battery, the device has a decent battery backup of 5000 mAh. A fast charging feature is also supported by the smartphone with a fast charge speed of up to 70W.

Other key specifications are the IR blaster, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and the Action Dot. Just to add, the Action Dot will likely be functioning as an indicator to signal users about the in-progress video recording, use of voice assistant, and maybe for charging indication too.

About its availability, it is said that the device may have its launch in the second quarter of this year, and three other Camon 30 series devices might also be released alongside of it. It might be made available later soon after its official launch
