Upcoming Google Pixel Fold 2 3D Render Revealed; Possible Camera Sensors Again Tipped
Reports regarding the next Google Pixel Fold 2 smartphone are being shared now and following the previous leaked image, the 3D render of the device have been revealed. The possible camera sensors that might be on the device have also been tipped.
Here’s more about it.
Google Pixel Fold 2 – 3D Render and Possible Camera Sensors
This 3D render of the Pixel Fold 2 is based on the previous leaked image itself, and points to all the notable design elements that were noted earlier. There is the projected rectangular-shaped camera module with rounded edges housing four camera sensors, an LED flash, and a microphone hole. The device also appears narrower than its predecessor in the 3D render too
This update also suggests that the four camera sensors could be wide, ultrawide, and telephoto lenses, along with an unknown fourth camera sensor. However, the previous update pointed to a periscope telephoto lens, whereas the fourth sensor maybe an infrared sensor, spectral/flicker sensor, or a ToF sensor.
Other design features such as the rounded and premium inner and cover displays, on-screen camera for the inner display, and an aluminum frame were also mentioned in the previous update. The next Pixel Fold 2 is also said to arrive equipped with the brand’s Tensor G4 chipset and will support a 16GB higher RAM option.
As far as the launch is concerned, based on the expected processor that could be used on the upcoming device, unlike the Pixel Fold which debuted in May 2023, the Pixel Fold 2 may only be coming in the month of October 2024 with the Pixel 9 series smartphones.
