Upcoming OnePlus 12R spotted on NBTC certification website ahead of it’s official launch
The Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus will be unveiling its latest flagship OnePlus 12 series in India as well as global markets on 23rd January. The series will include OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R smartphones and this is the first time that OnePlus will be launching a R-series device in the global market.
The launch page for the OnePlus 12R has been made live on Amazon and ahead of its official launch, the device has bagged multiple certifications like- TDRA, SIRIM, CQC, IMDA, and Bluetooth SIG. Today the device has been spotted on the NBTC certification website with model number CPH2609.
The listing reveals that the device will support GSM/WCDMA/LTE/NR connectivity. Since this upcoming device is said to be the rebranded version of OnePlus Ace 3, similarity in specifications is expected.

The smartphone features a 6.78-inch BOE X1 OLED display that offers 1.5k screen resolution, 450PPI, 4500 nits screen brightness, 120Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming rate, 10-bit colors, and support for HDR Vivid, HDR10+, ZREAL, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The device arrives with self-developed rain touch technology and an ultra-thin under-screen fingerprint reader. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC that is paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.
The device packs up a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50MP IMX890 main camera with OIS support, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP depth camera. On the front, it features a 16MP selfie camera. It is backed by a 5500 mAh battery that supports 100W Super Fast charging.
