Vivo Pad 3 may not launch along with the Vivo Pad 3 Pro
Reports have said that Vivo will hold a launch event later this month in China to announce the Vivo X Fold 3 series of foldable phones and the Vivo Pad 3 series of flagship tablets. Hence, the Chinese manufacturer is expected to announce four devices, such as the X Fold 3, X Fold 3 Pro, Pad 3, and Pad 3 Pro. However, a new leak suggests that when it comes to tablets, Vivo may only launch the Pro variant this month.
For those who don’t know, the Vivo Pad 3 Pro is expected to feature a 12.95-inch LCD panel that offers a 3K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. According to DCS, the tablet will run on the OriginOS 4 for Pad, which is expected to offer an interconnected experience with other Vivo devices.
The highest configuration of the device will offer 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. While there is no word about its battery size, it is said to support 80W charging. In addition, it will have an 8-megapixel front camera and a 13-megapixel rear camera.
In a Weibo post released by DCS today, he mentions that the pricing of the Vivo Pad 3 Pro’s will see an increase as compared to the previous generation. For those who don’t know, the Pad 2 debuted with a price tag of 2,399 Yuan (~$333) in April last year.
Qualcomm is expected to announce a new chip, which bears the SM8635 model number and the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 tentative name. It is said that the Vivo Pad 3 will be one of the first devices to feature it. When DCS was asked when Vivo would announce the Pad 3, he said that the Pad 3 would be released a little later, which suggests that it may launch in April or May.
