Vivo Pad Air announced in China, key specifications, design confirmed

Vivo has announced the Vivo Pad Air tablet in China. It is the second tablet from the brand after the Vivo Pad 2, which was released earlier this year in the home market. The company has not yet confirmed the launch date of the device. However, Vivo’s Vice President and General Manager for Brand and Product Strategy Jia Jingdong, not only revealed the key specs of the tablet but also shared a couple of posters to reveal its design.

Vivo Pad Air specifications

The Vivo Pad Air will feature an 11.5-inch LCD display with a 2.8K resolution, a 3:2 aspect ratio, a 144Hz refresh rate, and P3 colour gamut. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 870 chip and will pack an 8,500mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging.

It is likely to run on OriginOS based on Android 13 and come with support for Vivo Pencil 2. The tablet is also equipped with quad speakers.

The details about the front and rear cameras of the Pad Air have not been confirmed yet. The tablet measures 6.67mm in thickness and weighs 530 grams. The overall design of the tablet is identical to the Vivo Pad 2.

The Pad Air will be available in three colours: Free Blue, Brave Pink, and Easy Silver. The company has not yet confirmed the price and availability of the Vivo Pad Air.

To recall, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1-powered Vivo Pad 2 was introduced with a price tag of CNY 2,399 (~$333) in China. Hence, it appears that the Pad Air is likely to be priced below CNY 2,000 (~$278).
