Vivo Set to Launch Two Foldable Phones, X Fold 2 and X Flip, with Impressive Specs and Features
Vivo is all set and ready to launch two foldable phones in China on April 20th, Vivo X Fold 2 and Vivo X Flip. The Vivo X Fold 2 is the successor to the first-generation X Fold, whereas the X Flip is the first clamshell foldable phone from Vivo.
Ahead of the launch event, Ishan Agarwal and 91 Mobiles surfaced official-looking images and full specs sheets of those two phones.
Vivo X Fold 2 Specs
The Vivo X Fold 2 will come with a 6.3-inch primary exterior display with a resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels. The interior display will have an 8.03-inch length with a resolution of 2160 x 1916 pixels. Both displays will have a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and an integrated fingerprint scanner.
The weight of the Vivo X Fold 2 is 280 grams. The camera module will be a circular one with a triple camera setup of 50MP + 12MP + 12MP and a 16MP selfie camera. The Vivo X Fold 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. This is the first time this processor comes on a foldable phone. It will have 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB internal storage options. This phone might include a 4,800mAh battery that supports 120W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Vivo X Flip Specs
The Vivo X Flip is going to be a clamshell foldable phone with a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate included with HDR10+. From the leaked images, the Vivo X Flip is most likely to feature a horizontal 3-inch display on the back panel. This also comes with a circular camera module for the rear camera, with a 50MP + 12MP dual camera setup. The selfie camera comes with 32MP.
The Vivo X Flip is expected to have a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC paired with 12GB RAM and 12 GB internal storage. This phone might have a 4,400mAh battery that supports 44 W charging.
