Vivo X Fold 2 key specifications tipped, April launch confirmed
Vivo is expected to hold a launch event in April in China. In a new Weibo post, Vice President of Vivo Products, Huang Tao, said that the Vivo X Fold 2 was showcased at the Boao Forum for Asia. He hinted that there will be more surprises from the brand in April, which indicates that the X Fold 2 will launch in the said month. In addition, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station once again tipped off the key specifications of the device.
As it is known, the Vivo X Fold 2 will debut as the world’s first foldable phone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 onboard. He added that the other main features of the X Fold 2 include dual ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanners (for the cover and inner displays), a 4,800mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging, an OIS-assisted Sony IMX866 primary camera, and V2 ISP.
The specs for the Vivo X Fold 2 that have been leaked show that it will be a very appealing device. However, it is unclear whether the device will be released on the global market.
Vivo is also expected to announce the Vivo X Flip and Vivo Pad 2 alongside the Vivo X Fold 2 in the home market. Speculations are rife that the Vivo X Flip will be the only product among the three to make it to the global market.
