Vivo X Fold 3 bags radio certification, hints Q1 launch

Reports have revealed that Vivo is gearing up to unveil the Vivo X Fold 3 series of foldable phones in China. The lineup will have two models, the Vivo X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro, identified with V2303A and V2337A model numbers, respectively. These model numbers have so far been spotted in the IMEI database. Currently slated for a Q1 2024 launch in China, these devices are expected to emerge on Chinese certification platforms soon. Today, the Vivo X Fold 3 emerged in the database of China’s radio certification platform, hinting at an imminent launch.

The image shown reveals that the Vivo X Fold 3 with V2303A has received radio certification in China. In the coming days, the device is likely to be certified by other platforms, such as 3C and TENAA. The listing, unfortunately, has no information about its core specifications.

Vivo X Fold 3 specifications

As per reports, the Vivo X Fold 3 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a 5,600mAh dual-cell batteryv. It is expected to support 80W or 100W charging but may lack wireless charging support. For security, it may feature a side-facing fingerprint scanner. The rear camera setup of the Vivo X Fold 3 may feature a 50-megapixel OV50H main camera, an ultra-wide lens, and a telephoto snapper. It will weigh around 220 grams and will arrive as an affordable offering.

Reports suggest that the Vivo X Fold 3 series, the Vivo Pad 3 tablet, and the Vivo X100s will debut together, possibly in March in China.
