Vivo is reportedly working on the Vivo X Fold 3 series of foldable phones. Reports have revealed that the lineup will have two models, such as the X Fold 3 and its Pro variant. A couple of weeks ago, GSMChina came across the IMEI database listing of the Pro model. Now, the publication has found the standard model listed in the IMEI database.
Vivo X Fold 3 model number, launch timeframe
As can be seen in the above screenshot, the Vivo X Fold 3 has appeared with model number V2303A in the GSMA IMEI database. Unfortunately, the publication has not revealed any information about the specifications of the device.
Yesterday, tipster Digital Chat Station disclosed that the upcoming Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will feature an under-display fingerprint sensor. This continues Vivo’s trend, as previous X Fold-branded devices from the company have also included under-display fingerprint scanners. In contrast to foldable phones from other brands that have side-facing fingerprint sensors, Vivo remains consistent with integrating under-display biometric technology into its foldable lineup.
The Vivo X Fold 3, which has the V2337A model number, is said to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Since tipster DCS has claimed that the X Fold 3 will have an affordable price, it is unclear whether it will have the SD8G3 chip or something else.
As per reports, the Vivo X Fold 3 series, the Vivo X Flip 2, and the Vivo X100 Pro+ (or Ultra) will debut in March or April 2024.
