Vivo X Fold 3 series’ internal and external display resolutions, battery size tipped before launch

Vivo is expected to announce the Vivo X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro foldable phones in March in China. The rumour mill has been gradually leaking details about both devices. In the latest leak, tipster Digital Chat Station shared information about the display resolution of both devices.

Previous reports have claimed that the Vivo X Fold 3 featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip will be an affordable offering. On the other hand, the X Fold 3 Pro is expected to arrive with the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 onboard.

The latest leak suggests that the internal foldable screen of the Vivo X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro will be supplied by Samsung Display. The Vivo X Fold 2’s internal screen offered a resolution of 1916 x 2160 pixels. According to DCS, the resolution of the foldable display of the X Fold 3 series has been increased to 2480 x 2200 pixels.

The X Fold 2’s cover display offers a resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels. On the other hand, the outer screen of the X Fold 3 series will offer a higher resolution of 2748 x 1172 pixels. The leaker did not mention the internal and external screen sizes of the X Fold 3 series.

He went on to say that the Vivo X Fold 3 series’ body is made up of fiberglass. He added that the white variant of the device, which has a glass black finish, has a very attractive appeal. He also mentioned a battery size of 5,600mAh battery, which seemingly belongs to the X Fold 3. Previous reports have suggested that the Pro variant may pack a larger 5,700mAh battery.

The tipster again reiterated that the X Fold 3 will have a telephoto camera, whereas the Pro model will be blessed with a periscope telephoto camera. In addition, the leak also suggests that the X Fold 3 series will be lighter than the X Fold 2.
