Vivo X100 Ultra design tipped to be refined version of X100, X100 Pro
Vivo fans are eagerly waiting for the arrival of the X100 Ultra, which will be the company’s first flagship phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. In a new Weibo post, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station shared some details about the design of the device without explicitly mentioning its name.
It can be said based on DCS’ latest Weibo post that in comparison to the X100 and X100 Pro, the X100 Ultra will offer slight design changes, such as the continued use of a large circular camera module and curved-edge screen. The glass back of the device has a distinctive feel, resembling velvet AG, which offers a high-quality matte texture with reduced glare. The Vivo X100 Pro weighs 225 grams. According to recent reports, the X100 Ultra also has a similar weight.
Additionally, DCS further said that Vivo’s collaboration with Zeiss and the application of exclusive coatings, which were seen on the X100 and X100 Pro, are still there on the X100 Ultra. Reports have claimed that Vivo will ditch the Zeiss branding on its next generation of X-series flagships. In addition, there have been reports that Vivo’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phone will be introduced as an X200-series phone.
However, now that DCS has claimed that the co-branding will continue for the upcoming device. This means that it will be part of the X100 series and likely be called the Vivo X100 Ultra, putting an end to rumours about the X200 branding. As far as launch is concerned, the X100 Ultra is expected to debut with the X100s and X100s Pro in May in China.
