Vivo X100, X100, X100 Pro Plus chipsets revealed in a leak

Last year, Vivo unveiled the Vivo X90 series of smartphones in November. The X90 and X90 Pro debuted as the first-ever phones featuring the Dimensity 9200 chipset. On the other hand, the Vivo X90 Pro Plus became the first phone to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. In a new leak, tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed the names of the chipsets that will power the Vivo X100 series.

The Vivo X100 series will have three devices, as the tipster revealed in the screenshot below. Two of them, which appear to be the Vivo X100 and the X100 Pro, will feature the upcoming Dimensity 9300 chipset.

Vivo X100 series chipset

The Vivo X100 Pro Plus will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Speaking of the chipset, Qualcomm has confirmed that its next Snapdragon Summit is scheduled to take place between Oct. 24 and Oct. 26 in the US at Maui, Hawaii. It is very likely that the platform will be used to unveil the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is expected to arrive with a 3.20GHz 1 x Cortex-X4, 3.00GHz 5 x Cortex-A720, 2.50GHz 2 x Cortex-A520, and Adreno 750. It may also support LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. As far as the Dimensity 9300 chipset is concerned, it is expected to arrive with 4 x Cortex-X4 cores, 4 x Cortex-A720 cores, and an Immortalis Mali-G720 GPU. The D9300 is also likely to debut in October this year.
