Vivo X100s flat-screen variant’s key specifications tipped

In November, Vivo unveiled the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro smartphones in China. The Dimensity 9300-powered smartphones came equipped with a curved-edge OLED display. Some reports have claimed that the brand is also working on a flat-display variant of the X100, which is likely to be dubbed the Vivo X100s when it arrives in the Chinese market. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station took to Weibo to share the key specifications of the alleged Vivo X100s.

According to DCS, the specifications of the purported Vivo X100s are not too different from the X100. He revealed that the device will have a 6.78-inch flat OLED 8T panel that offers a 1.5K resolution and probably a 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the Vivo X100s is expected to feature the Dimensity 9300 chipset. The device will pack a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging. However, there is a possibility that the phone may support slightly slower 80W charging.

When it comes to photography, the Vivo X100s may feature a 50-megapixel IMX920 main camera with OIS support. a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 ultra-wide lens, and a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. While he did not say anything about the selfie camera, it is likely to inherit the 32-megapixel front camera that is available on the X100.

Vivo is expected to hold a launch in the first quarter of 2024 in China to announce multiple products, such as the Vivo X Fold 3 series of foldable phones and the Vivo Pad 3 tablet. The Vivo X100 Pro+, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, may debut in the second quarter of the year in China. Likely, the X100s may break cover alongside the X100 Pro+.
