Vivo X100s tipped to feature Dimensity 9300+ chipset, 100W charging
Vivo is reportedly working on the Vivo X100s smartphone. Reports suggest that it will be identical to the Vivo X100, with the only major change being a flat display instead of a curved-edge one. Now, a new leak courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station reveals that the X100s will feature the most powerful Dimensity chipset.
According to the leaker, the Vivo X100s will have a flat OLED display that offers a 1.5K resolution. It will be the first smartphone to feature the all-new Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset.
As the moniker implies, the Dimensity 9300+ will be an overclocked version of the Dimensity 9300 chip that powers the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro. While the prime Cortex-X4 CPU core of the D9300 can achieve up to 3.25GHz speeds, the same CPU of the Plus variant can touch 3.4GHz, claims the tipster.
The Vivo X100 has a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging. However, the X100s is now said to support 100W charging and have a battery capacity of around 5,000mAh. The leaker did not mention the exact battery size.
DCS’s leak also reveals that the X100s has a short-focus optical in-screen fingerprint scanner, a metal middle frame, and a glass back. This suggests there may not be any leather back variants. It will arrive in four shades, including white. The rest of the specs of the X100s could be the same as the X100.
The X100s is expected to debut with the Vivo X Fold 3 series and Vivo Pad 3 series by late March in China.
