Vivo Y18 spotted on Google Play Console with the same processor as the recently launched Y03

Vivo launched the Vivo Y03, an entry-level smartphone, yesterday in the Indonesian market. And now we have yet another piece of news to share with our readers: we have now spotted the Y18 on the Google Play Console with the model number V2333.

Here is more to it:

Vivo Y18 spotted on the Google Play Console.

Before I talk about the specs, let me share some brief insights from yesterday’s listing of the Vivo Y03 on the Google Play Console. The listing was kind of confusing because the model number shared on that listing was V2333, but the moniker shown at that time was Y03. Even earlier listings on Bluetooth SIG showed a different model number for the Y03, V2332. At that time, we had concluded that the Y03 might just be a repackaged version of the Y18. After the launch, it further solidified our claim as it was launched with a Helio G85 processor. The only difference we saw is that Y03 is launched with a 4GB RAM option.

And now, what we found today in the listing is similar to what we found yesterday. The Y18, as per the listing, will be powered by the same MediaTek Helio G85 (MT6769Z) processor paired with an ARM Mali G52 (950 MHz) GPU. The listing further revealed that it will boot with Android 14 out of the box with 6GB of RAM.

Design

If we see the renders from the Google Play Console, it shows a resemblance to the Y03 smartphone. We can expect a 6.56-inch IPS LCD that offers HD+ resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate.

As per the previous listing on the Bluetooth SIG, we are expected to see two models in this Y18 series. These are Vivo Y18 and Vivo Y18e (V2350). The Vivo Y18e has already been spotted on the BIS certification website, hinting that Vivo might launch the Y18e soon in the Indian market.
