Vivo Y27 5G Geekbench listing appears to Dimensity chip, 8GB RAM

Vivo is reportedly working on the Vivo Y27 series of smartphones. The lineup seems to have two models, the Vivo Y27 4G and the Vivo Y27 5G. These models are said to have V2249 and V2248 model numbers. The 5G version of the device has now appeared in the database of the Geekbench 6 benchmarking platform to reveal its chipset, RAM, and OS.

Last week, the Vivo Y27 5G was spotted at certification platforms, such as Europe’s EEC, Indonesia’s TKDN, and Taiwan’s NCC. The NCC listing revealed live shots of the Y27 5G’s prototype. In addition, the device has also been spotted with some of its key specifications on the Google Play Console recently.

The Play Console listing revealed that its screen supports an FHD+ resolution and 440 dpi screen density. It further revealed that the device is equipped with the MediaTek M6833 chip, 6 GB of RAM, and Android 13. The NCC listing of the device revealed that the device has a 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging.

The device’s Geekbench listing reveals that it uses the same chip, which appears to be the Dimensity 6020. It also states that the device has 8 GB of RAM and runs on Android 13. In the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench 6, the device scored 595 and 1770 points, respectively.

The leaked specifications of the Vivo Y27 5G suggest that it could be a rebranded version of the Vivo Y36 5G. Hence, it appears that the Y27 5G will be equipped with a 6.64-inch LCD FHD+ 90Hz display, a 50-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual-camera system, and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.
