Vivo’s Upcoming X100 Smartphone Receives the BIS Certification: Indian Launch Confirmed

Vivo is going to unveil two of its X100 series devices in the Chinese market this month and ahead of it, one of the upcoming smartphones has been certified by India’s BIS certification authority.

Vivo X100 – BIS Certification

Vivo’s vanilla X100 smartphone has made its appearance on the BIS certification platform with the model number – V2308, and the device has received the BIS certification with the R-Number – “R-85001031” and the IS Number – “IS 13252(PART 1):2010/IEC 60950-1: 2005& IS 16333(Part 3):2022)”. There is another model number V2309 along with this V2308, however, it’s just a wild guess that it might be the VIVO X100 Pro, however, it would be wise to wait till we get a solid lead on it.

Do note that this device bearing the model number V2308 is the global variant of the X100 smartphone, and it was we who exclusively revealed it, along with some of its expected specifications and the launch time frame.

V2308 - Vivo X100 BIS Certification

Nothing in particular has been revealed on the BIS database, but one thing has been confirmed. The Vivo X100 smartphone will also be launched in the Indian market as well.

Apart from the BIS certification, the smartphone has also been certified by China’s 3C certification authority. The device has also made its appearance on the AnTuTu benchmark platform, and its 12GB/256GB storage variant was listed on JD Mall.

Based on what is now known, the upcoming Vivo X100 smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset, and the device will support a 120W wired fast charge feature. The design image of the X100 series was also revealed recently, and the devices are tipped to have three color choices of White, Blue, and Orange. The JD Mall shopping platform, as mentioned, has listed the 12GB/256GB storage variant, with a price tag of CNY 3,999, which is about INR 45,968.

Vivo has confirmed to launch its flagship X100 series smartphones – the X100 and the X100 Pro devices, in China on the 13th of November 2023, four days ahead of its rumored launch date.
