Xiaomi 14 bags 3C certification, likely to support 90W fast charging
Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has just launched the Redmi Note 13 series of smartphones in China. It is speculated that the brand will unveil the Xiaomi 14 series of flagship phones in November of this year. Ahead of the expected launch, the Xiaomi 14, which bears the 23127PN0CC model number, has received approval from the 3C authority of China.
A report that surfaced in May revealed the model numbers of the Xiaomi 14 series. It revealed that the 23127PN0CC and 23127PN0CG are model numbers of the Chinese and global versions of the Xiaomi 14, respectively. The report also revealed that the 23116PN5BC and 23116PN5BG model numbers belong to the Xiaomi 14 Pro’s Chinese and global variants, respectively.
The 3C certification platform has approved the Xiaomi 14, as seen in the screenshot above. It reveals that the device may ship with an MDY-14-EC charger, which offers up to 90W fast charging. It is a major upgrade, as the Xiaomi 13 offers 67W fast charging. There is a possibility that the Xiaomi 14 may also support 50W wireless charging, which was made available on the predecessor model.
The Xiaomi 14 lineup also includes the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which bears the 24030PN60C / 24030PN60G model numbers. While the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro featuring the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 are expected to launch in November, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra equipped with the same chip may debut in the first quarter of 2024.
