Xiaomi 14 Ultra design leak reveals curved-edge OLED panel, round camera module
As per recent reports, Xiaomi is working on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, a premium flagship smartphone with a primary focus on photography, for the Chinese market. Numerous sources suggest that it might make its debut in China around March or April this year. Digital Chat Station, a reliable tipster, has been gradually revealing information about the Xiaomi 14 Ultra through posts on his Weibo account. In his latest Weibo update, the leaker provided insights into the design and display features of the upcoming 14 Ultra.
According to DCS, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will feature a curved-edge OLED panel with a 2K resolution. Notably, the curvature is described as micro, rather than prominently noticeable. The phone will be equipped with a right-angled metal middle frame and a round camera module on the rear.
In terms of the camera layout, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra follows a similar arrangement to its predecessor, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. However, the distinct protrusion has been eliminated, resulting in a more streamlined appearance for the lenses. The design incorporates a double-layer decorative element, with Paris studs adorning the outer ring of the lens module. Additionally, the phone is equipped with two stereo speakers situated at both the top and bottom on the left and right sides. He added that the engineering prototype of the 14 Ultra showcases a multi-material body, featuring materials such as glass in its construction.
As per other reports, the 14 Ultra will Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and a 5,180mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. The device will support two-way satellite connectivity, and its rear-facing quad-camera unitl will have a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-900 main camera.
