Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s battery size tipped before expected launch on February 25
Xiaomi has recently confirmed that it will hold a launch event on Feb. 25 to announce the Xiaomi 14 series. The upcoming event may see the arrival of two phones, the Xiaomi 14 and the 14 Ultra. It is speculated that the Pro model may not be released in markets outside of China. The rumour mill has been leaking the specifications of the 14 Ultra in bits and pieces. In the latest leak, tipster Digital Chat Station has shared key information about the battery of the 14 Ultra.
In December, the tipster reportedly revealed that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is equipped with a 5,180mAh battery. In today’s Weibo post, the tipster revealed that 5,180mAh is the rated value of the battery and its typical could be greater. Hence, it appears that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra has a 5,300mAh (typical value) battery.
While the tipster did not share any new information about the charging capabilities of the 14 Ultra, previous reports have claimed that it will support 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. Like the 14 and 14 Pro, the Ultra variant will also have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
One of the major attractions of the 14 Ultra is that it will feature the 50-megapixel LYT-900 primary camera. It is the same camera that is available on the Find X7 Ultra in China. The same lens is also said to be available on the upcoming Vivo X100 Pro+ / Ultra. The leaks surrounding the 14 Ultra suggest that it will be one of the most powerful flagship phones of this year.
