Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 3C certified ahead of expected August launch
Xiaomi is expected to hold a major launch event in China in August. Reports have revealed that it will announce multiple products, such as the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max, the Redmi Pad 2, the Redmi K60 Ultra, and the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3. All other devices, besides the foldable phone, have received certification from China’s 3C authority. Today, the MIX Fold 3 also appeared in 3C’s database, shedding light on its fast charging capabilities.
Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 3C certification
The Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 has appeared with model number 2308CPXD0C in the database of 3C certification platform. The 3C listing reveals that the device may ship with an MDY-12-EF charger that supports maximum charging speeds of 67W. Reports surrounding the device have claimed that it will be Xiaomi’s first foldable phone to support wireless charging. It is rumoured to offer 50W wireless charging.
The Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will be competing with the likes of the Honor Magic (launching today), the Vivo X Fold 2, the OPPO Find N3, and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 foldable phones in the Chinese market. Like some of its competitors, the MIX Fold 3 is expected to feature the overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which clocks at 3.36GHz.
The MIX Fold 3 is also expected to arrive as the company’s first foldable phone equipped with a periscope zoom camera. At present, it is unclear whether the company has any plans to release it in markets outside of China.
