Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will not be launched alongside Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Claims tipster
Xiaomi, the Chinese consumer electronics maker, has two foldable devices currently in the works – Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Xiaomi Mix Flip. The upcoming Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is also said to be the very first foldable device from the brand that will be making its debut in the global market. The launch time frame of this device has again been tipped, and a few other details have been shared as well.

Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 – Launch Time Frame and Other Details
This update comes from the Weibo tipster – Smart Pikachu who has revealed that as per the current progress, the next vertical foldable device of Xiaomi – the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 won’t be coming with the Xiaomi 14 Ultra flagship that is said to arrive by the end of next month in February 2024. However, as earlier noted, the Mix Fold 4 launch can be expected in Q2 itself, possibly in May 2024 as pointed out from its model numbers.
Along with the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 update, the tipster has also mentioned Vivo’s X Fold 3 foldable which is expected to be released in the month of March 2024. Since the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 launch is suggested to be in Q2 2024, the Vivo X Fold 3 will probably be the first folding flagship of the year with good cameras, display, and battery.
In related news, another source has reported some of the details of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 smartphone. It is said to have the codename – “Ruyi”, internal codename – “N8”, and model numbers – “2405CPX3DG” & “2405CPX3DC”. The report states it to come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset (SM8650), and the device will be sold both in the global and Chinese market.
Confirming the global launch, the Mix Fold 4 has also been certified by the EEC certification authority of Europe. The Indian launch has also been tipped. Some of the other expected specifications are the HyperOS Fold custom skin based on the Android 14 operating system, 8+ inch inner display, 6.5+ inch cover display, 120Hz refresh rate, LTPO, and 50MP quad camera unit.
