XIaomi Pad 6 series’ latest leak has revealed details on display, chipset, battery, and charging capabilities
Several reports have revealed that Xiaomi is working on the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro tablets. It was reported around two months ago by Xiaomiui that the Pad 6, which has the “Pipa” codename and “M82” model number, will be released in China, India, and global markets. It also claimed that the Pad 6 Pro with the “Liuqin” codename and “M81” model number would remain exclusive to the Chinese market. In a new Weibo poster, tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed key details about the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro.
According to the tipster, the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro will arrive with a display that measures around 11 inches. While he is unsure whether these devices are equipped with an LCD panel, a previous leak claimed that the Pad 6 Pro would have an AMOLED panel.
Both tablets will support a screen resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+. While the vanilla model will support a 120Hz refresh rate, the Pro variant will offer up to a 144Hz refresh rate.
The Xiaomi Pad 6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset, whereas the Pad 6 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. Both models will offer 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The Pad 6 series will pack large batteries that support 67W fast charging. The lineup is also tipped to feature a fingerprint sensor, a feature that was not available on the Pad 5 series.
According to previous reports, the Pad 6 Pro will have a quad-speaker system, NFC, and a rear-mounted dual camera setup featuring a depth sensor. It is also expected to support Xiaomi’s stylus and keyboard. Unfortunately, there is no word on the launch date of the Pad 6 series. In all likelihood, the Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro may debut within the first half of 2023.
