Xiaomi tablet with OLED panel, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 could be in works

Xiaomi is expected to hold a launch event in April in China to unveil the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. At the same event, the company is likely to unveil the Xiaomi Pad 7 series of tablets for the Chinese market. The lineup is expected to include the Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro, powered by different Snapdragon 8-series chipsets. In a new Weibo post, tipster Digital Chat Station has reportedly shared new details about the Pad 7 lineup.

In the latest leak, the tipster can be seen talking about an upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which appears to be the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro. According to DCS, the tablet will continue to feature a 144Hz LCD screen and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. While he did not reveal the exact screen size, he claimed that it does not have a 10-inch screen, as reports are claiming. However, he revealed that the Pad 7’s screen will have slim borders and a better appeal.

The Pad 7 may inherit the camera module design from the Xiaomi 14 series of smartphones. It appears that it will run on HyperOS-based Android 14, which will offer an optimized experience with connected devices.

The tipster also revealed that there is a new tablet equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in the works. At present, there is no information about the moniker of the device. Hence, it is unclear whether he is talking about the Xiaomi Pad 7 Max or some other device.
