Xiaomi’s new Civi phone seemingly hinted, won’t have the Civi 4 name

Xiaomi is reportedly working on two new phones, namely the Xiaomi Civi 4 and the Redmi Note 13 Turbo for the Chinese market. The Civi 4 moniker has not been officially confirmed yet, but the Note 13 Turbo’s name was recently spotted in the IMEI database listing. A new development suggests that the launch of the next-generation Civi phone may not be far away.

In the above image, Xiaomi China’s Vice President and General Manager of Marketing Department, Xu Fei can be seen saying that she is working on a presentation for the company’s next smartphone. In the comments section, she hinted that the Xiaomi Civi product manager Hu Xinxin will be hosting it. This clearly suggests that Xu Fei could be hinting at the arrival of the next-generation Civi phone.

Xiaomi civi 5 hint

As mentioned above, the Xiaomi Civi 4 is just a tentative name, and the actual moniker could be different. Xu Fi also said that the upcoming device is not the Civi 4. While it is evident that Xiaomi’s next phone will be a Civi-brand smartphone, it won’t be called the Civi 4.

So, there is a possibility that the next-generation Civi phone will be called the Civi 4 Pro or there is a possibility that the company may skip the number “4” as it is considered a bad omen in some countries. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether it will be called the Xiaomi Civi 5 or something else.

It is speculated that the Xiaomi phone with model number 24053PY09C, which was recently approved by China’s MIIT authority, could be the next Civi phone. It is said to feature the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset.
