New Apple Watch Series 9 and Watch SE Launched: Indian Price Points Revealed
The Cupertino-based tech company, Apple conducted its “Wonderlust” special event very recently, and many new products have been unveiled. Three new smartwatches were among the products, and the Watch Series 9 and the Watch SE (2023) were two of them.
The devices will be made available on the 22nd of September, this month and now, the Indian price points of the Watch Series 9 and Watch SE have been revealed.
Apple’s Latest Watch Series 9 and Watch SE
Both the Watch Series 9 and the Watch SE smartwatches are carbon-neutral products and will be available in two sizes. The Watch Series 9 comes in 45mm and 41mm aluminum or steel case sizes. The Watch SE of 2023 has 44mm and 40mm aluminum case models.
Speaking about their specifications, the Watch Series 9 is powered by the S9 SiP, while the Watch SE is equipped with the S8 SiP. The Watch Series 9 supports a double tap gesture, faster on-device Siri with health data access, and precision finding for iPhones. The Watch SE has both Siri and Find iPhone support.
Regarding the displays, the Watch Series 9 features an always-on Retina display with a brightness rate of up to 2000 nits. The newly launched Watch SE has a Retina display with up to 1000 nits brightness rate.
The Watch Series 9 comes with a blood oxygen app and an ECG app and supports high & low heart rate notifications, irregular rhythm notifications, and low cardio notifications. The device also supports temperature sensing and cycle tracking with retrospective ovulation estimates. The latest Watch SE supports high & low heart rate notifications, irregular rhythm notifications, low cardio notifications, and cycle tracking.
The devices also have emergency SOS, international emergency calling, and fall & crash detection. The two smartwatches are also swim-proof with 50m water resistance.
Cellular connectivity is also available on the two smartwatch devices with Family Setup support on the GPS+cellular models, enabling users to connect with family members who don’t have an iPhone.
Finally, about the battery life offered, on both the Watch Series 9 and Watch SE smartwatches, users will be offered a battery life of up to 18 hours. The two also have a low power mode and on the Watch Series 9, with the low power mode, the battery life can be expanded to almost 36 hours. The Watch Series 9 also comes with fast charge support as well.
The Watch Series 9 and the Watch SE have been introduced at starting prices of $399 and $249, respectively, and as per what has been revealed, in the Indian market the two will start at Rs. 41,900 and Rs. 29,900, respectively.
Just to add, the third smartwatch that has been introduced by Apple is the Watch Ultra 2 which has been priced at $799.
