Redmi’s New Smartwatch Gets Listed on IMDA and EEC Certification Platforms

Redmi is to launch another smartwatch with a model number M2235W1 and the upcoming device has now been spotted on the IMDA(Infocomm Media Development Authority) and EEC(European Economic Community) certification websites.

Redmi M2235W1 Receives IMDA and EEC Certifications

As reports indicate, Redmi will launch another smartwatch with a model number M2235W1 and the device has made its appearance on Singapore’s IMDA and also on the EEC certification websites.

From its listing on the IMDA certification website, the smartwatch has just been confirmed to be a low-power device with Bluetooth connectivity support.

The device has received the EEC certification with a notification number of RU0000058303 and has appeared on the certification platform with the same model number of M2235W1, with which it had appeared on the IMDA certification platform. Nothing interesting or peculiar has been revealed in its EEC certification.

Recently the Xiaomi Watch C and the Redmi Watch 3 Lite with the same model number of M2247W1 were spotted on different certifications like Malaysia’s SIRIM certification, TDRA certification, and also on the IMDA certification platforms. From its NRRA listing, some of the specs of the Redmi Watch 3 Lite were also revealed earlier.

Now regarding the newly listed device, we’ll have to wait for more updates to know about its moniker and other specs. Because of its similarity in the devices model numbers, there is also a doubt whether the newly listed device is a variant of the Xiaomi Watch C or the Redmi Watch 3 Lite, however as mentioned we’ll have to wait for more updates in order to confirm it

Meanwhile, let’s look at the expected specifications of the Redmi Watch 3 Lite

The Redmi Watch 3 Lite is to have a rectangular shaped dial and a single button at the right to operate it. It will also support Bluetooth of version 5.0 and will feature detachable straps and a heart rate sensor. The device is also going to have a 2.87W polymer lithium-ion battery, which can be charged via the magnetic charging port given at the bottom. It has also been indicated that the device will not be supporting a Bluetooth calling feature as no microphones have been spotted on its body.
