Samsung Exynos W930 Receives the Bluetooth SIG Certification: Expected to Power the Galaxy Watch 6 Series

Samsung’s Exynos W930 chipset has now been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification website. This chipset is expected to power the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series devices.

Samsung Exynos W930 Chipset Receives Bluetooth SIG Certification

The Samsung Exynos W930 chipset, previously referred to as the Exynos W980 chipset has now been certified by the Bluetooth SIG certification authority. The chipset has appeared on the certification platform with a model number of S5E5515 and has been certified with the declaration ID of D062218. It will be supporting both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity with the help of a compatible RF chip. Regarding its Bluetooth version, the chipset will be supporting Bluetooth of version 5.3.

As far as its performance is concerned, compared to the previous Exynos W920 chipset which was used in the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5 series devices, Samsung’s latest Exynos W930 chipset is expected to be 10% faster than its predecessor. Just like the Exynos W920 chipset, the Exynos W930 is also likely to be made using the 5nm process technology itself.

The Galaxy Watch 6 series devices from Samsung are expected to be launched at the brand’s Unpacked Event scheduled to take place next month, by the last week of July 2023, and as per recent reports, the series will include four device variants – Galaxy Watch 6 40mm, Galaxy Watch 6 44mm, Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 42mm and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 44mm. The Bluetooth SIG-certified Exynos W930 chipset is expected to make its debut in Samsung’s Watch 6 series devices.
