The Japanese electronics maker, Sony, has now teased the launch of a new camera that is to be launched within a week’s time in the global market. The upcoming camera device will be arriving as the third addition to the brand’s CineAlta series.

Here’s more about it.

New Sony CineAlta Series Camera Launching Soon

Sony has started to tease the global launch of an upcoming camera with the moniker “Burano” and the teaser video that has been shared reveals the CineAlta logo, pointing to the fact that it is a new CineAlta series camera of Sony’s cinema line.

Speaking about Sony’s CineAlta series, the brand has had the CineAlta series since 1999 and a range of cameras have been introduced in the series which includes the 2012 released F5 and F55 cameras. The two devices used the Super35 CMOS sensor and its users were offered the capability to shoot 4K and 2K videos at up to 60 and 240 FPS.

However, currently, the CineAlta series only has two cameras – the Venice and Venice 2, both of which are full-frame cinema cameras. About the two devices, the 2017 released Venice can capture 5K and 6K videos at 60p and 30p, respectively. The Venice 2 launched later came in 8.6K and 6K versions. The 8.6K version is able to shoot 5.8K videos at 90FPS and its maximum resolution videos at 30FPS. On the 6K version, users will be able to shoot videos with maximum resolution at 90FPS and 4K videos at 110FPS.

The upcoming Burano camera is expected to be the successor of the Venice 2 camera and is also likely going to be a full-frame camera, as the two cameras in the series now are such cameras. The Sony Burano will be launched as the third addition to the series on the 12th of September this month, globally, at 10 AM EDT, 3 PM BST, 10 PM CST, and 11 PM JST. In the Indian market, it will be launched at 7:30 PM IST.

Panasonic has also teased a new “G” camera and it will also be launching on the same day Sony unveils its latest CineAlta series Burano camera.
