Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Spotted on Malaysia’s SIRIM Certification Website

Xiaomi, the Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, had launched its Xiaomi Smart Band 8 three months back in its home market in China and reports have already arrived previously pointing to its launch in the global market.

Now, this smart band device from Xiaomi has been spotted on the SIRIM certification website, confirming its launch in one of the global markets.

Xiaomi Smart Band 8 SIRIM Certification

This smart band device from the brand has made it to the SIRIM certification platform of Malaysia with the model number, M2239B1 and the moniker of the device has been revealed as the Xiaomi Smart Band 8. The device has been certified by the SIRIM certification authority with the type approval code of RGSY/05A/0823/S(23-3855) and its certification will be valid till the 15th of August 2028.

As mentioned, Xiaomi has already launched the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 in China, and very recently the brand unveiled a new smart band device in the Chinese market – the Xiaomi Mi Band 8 Pro.

Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Specifications

The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 features the pill-shaped design normally seen in a smart band device and has an AMOLED touchscreen which has a 1.62″ screen size, a 60Hz refresh rate, 600 nits peak brightness rate, and a 326 PPI pixel density. A total of 200 watch faces are also provided on the smart band.

Regarding its other features, the smart band supports 150 sports modes like walking, running, cycling, swimming, and many more. It also comes with professional data trackers such as stride frequency, stride length, ground contact vacancy ratio, and ground impact force, among others. Health trackers which include a heart rate monitor, sleep monitor, blood oxygen level monitor, and menstrual tracker are also supported by the device.

The device packs a 190 mAh battery and will be able to offer a battery life of upto 16 days. Enabling AOD, the battery life of the device will be reduced to 10 days. The smart band can also be quickly charged and all it takes is an hour to fully charge the device.

In the Chinese market, two variants of the device are made available. The standard variant has a price of CNY 249, whereas the NFC variant is priced at CNY 299.
