Here is all you have to know about the new Samsung gaming monitor, Odyssey Ark
At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2022, Samsung unveiled its largest-ever gaming monitor, the Odyssey Ark, a 55-inch 4K Mini LED monitor with a VA panel (Vertical Alignment) and 1,056 controllable lighting zones.
The new gaming monitor features a 4K (3,840 x 2,160) resolution display with a 1 millisecond response time (GtG) and a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. The Samsung Odyssey Ark 55-Inch Curved Monitor is available in a single color: black, and it includes a Height Adjustable Stand (HAS). The HAS can be tilted and turned using the Cockpit Mode. It has four 60W speakers and Dolby Atmos support.
To ensure a smooth gaming experience on the Samsung 55-inch Odyssey Ark curved monitor, Samsung has included AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support for variable refresh rates. It comes with an Ark Dial controller, which allows users to adjust the screen size from 55 to 27 inches, change the screen position, and change the screen ratio between 16:9, 21:9, and 32:9.
For an optimal screen environment, there is a dedicated cockpit mode for rotating the screen with HAS and tilt and pivot functionality. The multi-view functionality enables users to take advantage of the large screen by displaying up to four screens at once. Gamers can view their gaming status and control settings using a game bar without leaving the game screen.
