Is Eramis Unfrozen? A new theory about Destiny 2 Season 18 speculates
Destiny 2 is an online free to play multiplayer shooting game developed by Bungie. When it’s close to reveal season 18 of the famous game, several leaks have made fans and players believe about a Fortnite crossover. However, senior Contributor at Forbes, Paul Tassi claims to have his own theory, not based on leaks.
According to him, it all started in the expansion before the Witch Queen, Beyond Light. Players were to fight Eramis the Shipstealer who wanted revenge on the Traveler for abandoning and ruining the Eliksni. That expansion ended in Eramis frozen in Stasis, where she’s ever since.
Bungie tweeted in January 2021 indicating that Eramis is still alive in the ice. She can thaw and claw her way out of it, even though it seemed that she died.
Guardian 1: Isn't it dangerous to play next to Eramis? What if they wake up?
Guardian 2: We're making a snowman, it's basically Stasis. They would love it. pic.twitter.com/KSVgz0qhwc

A follow up tweet 8 months later added fuel to the fire that she might indeed do so.

But that’s not all that is there about it. Tassi believes that the game itself gave reasons for him to theorize about it. This vision by a Psion in Vox Obscura mission says the following:
“I… I see… A city, besieged. The Shipstealer revived. The Leviathan reborn. Your Traveler infected by Darkness… These are the futures our our enemies seek. We must remain united if we are to forge a different path.”
It was in the Season of the Risen, the Leviathan has reborn, thus solidifying the prediction. Eramis seems to be the most viable choice in enemy since all the others are mostly dead.
Although not a concrete proof but just a speculation, there does seem to be enough evidence to believe so.
