Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 tipped to have 2 variants, might launch soon
Last year Qualcomm introduced Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and now the rumors of the launch of its successor Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 have started coming. This next-gen flagship is expected to debut somewhere in the mid of 2023 but it has begun making its appearance on many reports and online leaks months before its expected launch. It is expected that the upcoming processor by Qualcomm will arrive with refreshed thermal performance and power efficiency. We also recently informed you about some of the expected features of this upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
Recently famous tipster Debayan Roy who goes by @Gadgetsdata on Twitter revealed that Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 might arrive with 2 variants .
Seems like Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 might have 2 variants –
8 Gen 3 for Tablets/Laptops :
• 2 × Cortex X4
• 4 × Cortex A720
• 2 × Cortex A5208 Gen 3 for smartphones :
• 1 × Cortex X4
• 2 × higher clocked Cortex A720
• 3 × lower clocked Cortex A720

Further replying to the questions of many users, tipsters also revealed that the variant for smartphones is confirmed to use TSMC while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip will be 4 nm.
Earlier it was also reported that Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 might arrive with a 50% more powerful GPU as compared to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 GPU.
Though these are just speculations and there might be a few changes in the upcoming chipset. We still need to wait for the official announcement about the launch of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC by the company.
