Well, Samsung now has two really amazing products for its environmentally-conscious consumers. Today at IFA 2023 held in Berlin, Samsung Electronics unveiled an A-40% Washing Machine and an EHS Mono R290 heat pump. According to Junhwa Lee, EVP and Head of the Customer Experience team of the Digital Appliance business at Samsung Electronics, “These models are a technological achievement, especially in terms of the smart features and the energy efficiency they offer.”
A-40% Washing Machine
This new washing machine range will be introduced next year and will include models that consume 40% less energy than needed to reach an energy efficiency class limit. These washing machines will reduce energy use while providing a 10kg loading capacity and Bespoke design. They will provide SmartThings connectivity along with AI energy mode. Users can easily check daily, weekly, and monthly power consumption and can also estimate monthly electricity bills. You can use the Ecobubble option to wash clothes with cool water while it arrives with AI wash that enhances washing performance.
It can effectively control the amount of water and detergent by detecting the weight, softness of fabric, and level of soiling. The super speed cycle feature allows users to thoroughly wash their clothes while significantly cutting down on cycle time. This cycle ends in 39 minutes. It also includes a Speed Spray feature that speeds up washing and rinsing by shooting powerful jets of water. As per the company, this washing machine will be available in European markets in Q1 of 2024.
EHS Mono R290 Heat pump: Specifications
This product uses R290 as a refrigerant which has a much lower Global Warming potential compared to others. It will be able to provide hot water of up to 75 degrees Celsius for domestic heating purposes. Its heat transfer area is up to 39% larger compared to a conventional outdoor unit. It will deliver a 100% heating performance in temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius. It will also arrive with AI Energy mode and adjust Domestic Hot Water temperature as per the user’s preference without using much energy.
