Google’s Generative AI-Powered Search Experience (SGE): Three New Updates
Many leading tech companies have already started to incorporate AI into their different services and Google was one among the first companies to do this. The brand has already introduced its AI chatbot, Bard, and its generative AI-powered search experience or SGE, has been able to do a lot ever since its integration with Google Search.
Check out three of the new updates the company has brought to the AI-powered Search, that will further help its users to receive improved search results and which will also enable them to get a better clarity on their search.
Three New Updates Brought to Google’s AI-Powered Search
It was very recently that Google had brought images to its AI overviews and the idea of using images was indeed helpful for its users to get a more clearer picture, as pictorial representations are always better than textual explanations. Google is again taking the idea of visually representing things related to its users’ search one more step forward by bringing videos to overviews. Just like images or maybe even better than images, videos will help Google users with their search.
The second update is regarding the performance of Google’s AI-powered overviews. With the recent improvements made, the overviews will be generated within half the time as before and Google is still continually working on improving its speed even faster, to offer its users responses much faster.
Finally, the last update is a minor addition to the links that appear in the overviews. As you may have experienced, the AI-powered overviews are actually a jumping off point from where you’ll be able to get to the information required much more quickly by clicking on the links given there. Now on, the publication dates will also be added along with the links. Even if this is mentioned as a minor addition, it is still a significant update that will help users find the most recent and relevant links that may direct them to the right information.
